Although GSM devices have no recording ability, if you do need to record you will need to use a Mobile Telephone Recording Lead used in conjunction with one of our Digital Voice Recorder units.

DETECTION ADVICE

Detection tip in an office /apartment

To detect a micro-spy or micro wireless camera in an office, before you start inspecting the environment, please disable all known devices emitting waves (GSM smartphone, Wi-Fi router, wireless phone, etc.).

When you have turned off (unplugged) all these devices, turn on the wave detector. Deploy the antenna and then start inspecting any areas that may have a wireless spy microphone or wireless micro camera (for example: false ceiling, radiator, ventilation, furniture, electronic equipment).

Set the sensitivity to the highest. Be mindful that the detection of Wi-Fi and GSM 3G 4G waves is strong because other devices in the surrounding offices are on and you cannot disable them. Please turn on the filters as you scan so that the detection intensity drops.

Continue to inspect until the device detects a wave (transmission).

Then get closer to the source by lowering the sensitivity, until you find the electronic equipment that is emitting.

Detection tip in a vehicle

To detect a GPS beacon or micro spy camera in a car or truck, we advise that you to place the vehicle in a neutral zone (empty parking, fields, woods, etc.), then disable (turn off) known wireless emission sources such as mobile phones, etc.

Turn on the wave detector, deploy the antenna and then start inspecting your vehicle. If no wave is detected, we advise you to move the vehicle whilst leaving the wave detector on. Some GPS trackers are on standby when the vehicle is not moving.

Continue to inspect until the device detects a wave (transmission).

Get closer to the source by lowering the sensitivity, until you find the electronic equipment is emitting.

Press ON/OFF Button,after 4 seconds it starting recording (the red light flickers 6 times then start recording)

Stop and save;
